Which therapies do you use?
Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that is specific to your diagnoses and goals, that incorporates thoroughly researched psychological therapies and practical strategies to reduce unwanted feelings and behviours. Depending on your needs and preferences, I would most likely use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomina (CBT-I), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) or psycho-education. I will also share a range of helpful resources to support your recovery, which draw from principles in psychology, dietetics, the arts and neuroscience.
What is the cost per session?
The out of pocket cost per session is $55. I am provisionally registered with AHPRA, during this stage of my training you would pay $55 upfront with no rebate. After I become fully registered with AHPRA, the cost would be $151.65, and you will receive a rebate of $96.65, meaning the out of pocket cost will remain at $55.
What is a provisional psychologist?
A provisional psychologist is a psychologist in the final stages of their training. I seek approval for all recovery plans from my supervising psychologist. A supervisory psychologist is a fully registered psychologist who has met specific requirements set by the Psychology Board of Australia to become a supervising psychologist. While my registration is provisional, the modes of therapy and resources that I use are the same as those that my supervising psychologist uses.
